Volunteer / Intern Information


The MSU Sexual Assault Program has volunteer positions that will help you develop practical, work-related skills while providing essential services to people in need and reducing violence in the campus community.

Service areas include:

  • 24-hour crisis line
  • medical advocacy
  • legal advocacy
  • judicial advocacy
  • peer education and outreach

Sexual Assault Crisis Intervention Advocate (SACI)

MSU students, alumni, and faculty/staff are eligible to volunteer with the SACI team. SACI advocates must complete at least 36 hours of training before providing crisis intervention services.


Requirements to Volunteer:

1. Complete volunteer application
2. Complete 36-hour Sexual Assault Crisis Intervention Advocate Training (SACI Training)
3. Attend SACI volunteer meetings or meet with advisor once a month
4. Sign up for one or more service areas
5. Complete one service shift per month

Every 5 Minutes (E5M) 

E5M is a theater troupe that performs skits about sexual violence. The troupe aims to eradicate rape with ACTion. Performances are held in dormitories, classrooms, and during various community events such as Take Back the Night.
